Here's why:1. If Venus flytraps are kept this way they usually die.2. Under the best conditions, Venus flytraps take 3-5 years to reach maturity from seed. Venus flytraps are neither a jungle or rainforest plant. These carnivorous plant seed kits are one of the best ways I know to disappoint a young person who wants to start growing carnivorous plants. This type of marketing just reinforces the myth that carnivorous plants are difficult to grow. This marketing is not only deceptive, but just factually wrong. This is a difficult way for children, especially younger children, to start this hobby.3.
