The adjustable temp is great. So I am very happy with my purchase of this heater, and the price was so much less than at the retal stores. My only complaint is that it comes with NO INSTRUCTIONS. My hatchling turtle needed the water a bit warmer to kick a respitory infection, and all I had to do was dial it up. This heater does exactly what you ask it to, and it is smaller than many heaters so it doesn't take up a lot of space n the tank. He was very helpful, and simply explained that I needed to put it closer to the filter intake, but it be great if they packaged such wisdom along with their product. He hung on that heater until he was all better. When I first plugged it in and it barely seemed to be working at all, I had to call the company (by looking up their number online) and speak to a rep.
purchased this heater after returning my Ebo-Jager heater since it arrived defective (would never stop heating). So they are doing something right. First thing I noticed was that the temperature dial on the heater corresponds almost exactly to what my tank temperature is. Will find out how it works over the next few months.
I got the 50W heater for my 15-gallon tall aquarium. It's small, unobtrusive, fully submersible, and accurate. My aquarium has stayed at a constant 78 degrees ever since I set it up.

In short, this discarded glass models.The Stealth Heater does what I need and more.* Shatter-proof -- no worries about dropping it or breaking from mis-handing* Fully submersible -- mine is completely under water except for the knob for easy access* Black color does not call attention to itself, nor there are any signs of electronics to ugly your beautiful fish environment* Internet research (opinions in forums and reviews) found the company to be well established and trustworthy.I am very happy with the purchase and will continue to use this and stronger models as I setup other aquariums for myself, family, and friends. I wanted a heater of good quality, that was also reliable, but more importantly, that my kids could handle without me having to worry about it breaking and causing injuries due to cuts or electric shock. Definitely Recommended.
