these filters are useless. BiOrb aquariums may be cool looking but they are poorly designed and always foul.
Reef-One claims this filter needs to be changed every month, which is ridiculous. I rinse the filter out in old tank water during partial water changes, and replace the charcol they provide with a little charcol from a $5 jug purchased at PetSmart. I think they lose a lot of potential customers this way. I check my water quality (nitrite and nitrate) every 2 weeks and my tank is in perfect shape.
They were shipped and arrived faster than I expected. The pet store where I bought the Baby BiOrb stopped carrying the accessories. I checked all over town, and nobody seems to have them. This 6-pack is the original item, exactly as advertised and listed at a great price. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase.
Everything you'll need for periodic maintenance (except the light bulbs). Nice to have them on hand when needed with the six pack.
When you put it into its place in the tank, be sure all the rocks are out, then rotate counter clockwise until it is tight. Do these two things, I hope they help. I read the review about having trouble with the filter. Takes some practice. When you replace the filter, be sure the top is on tight, then let it fill up a bit by tipping gently. Biorb made the filter cover and the tank clasps go in opposite directions and sometimes when you seat one, the other comes apart.
